I am a math grad. I am passionate about systems engineering in general and leading/building/scaling engineering teams. I have around 7 years of experience in the field of data + systems. I have worked as data scientist, data engineer, database devloper and now developing something in the area of math + systems.

These days I am into - Product Design and Engineering, Design of Programming Languages and Compilers, Deep Learning.

Previously I was learning - Operating systems, concurrent programming, distributed systems and parallel programming.

🌱 I'm passionate about open source and contributing to projects that make a difference. Currently, I'm actively contributing to the following repositories:

• Datafusion-Comet: Apache DataFusion Comet Spark Accelerator. I am actively contributing to this repo right now.
• raft-rs (maintainer): An understandable, fast, customizable and scalable async-await Raft implementation with zero-copy.
• taper (maintainer): An autograd engine with dynamic computational graph and neural network library. Uses optimized BLAS for matmul and SIMD for element-wise operations. Zero-copy tensors.

minor contributions -

• Apache Iceberg-rust: Rust implementation of Apache Iceberg.
• ParadeDB: Postgres for Search and Analytics written in Rust.
• Arroyo: Distributed stream processing engine in Rust. This got acquired by Cloudflare. Cloudflare pipelines are built on top of Arroyo.
