To get this up and running locally, follow the steps below. The project is built using Laravel for the backend, Vue and Inertia for the frontend, then Tailwind CSS for styling. You'll need to have Docker Desktop, PHP 8.2+, Composer, Node.js and NPM installed on your machine to properly set up the environment. Once you've cloned the repository, you'll need to install the necessary dependencies and configure environment variables.
- Clone the repository
git clone git@github.com:rjp2525/reno.sh.git && cd reno.sh
- Install PHP/JS dependencies
composer install && npm i
- Copy the
.env.examplesample environment variable file to.envand set necessary keys
cp .env.example .env
php artisan key:generate
nano .env
# TODO: add env variables that require changing- Start the Docker container and run migrations
./vendor/bin/sail up -d
./vendor/bin/sail artisan migrate --seed
- Start Vite for compiling frontend assets
npm run dev
- You should now be able to visit localhost in your browser.
