• multer (File Upload Package)
• cookie-parser (Parse Cookie Header and Populate)
• express-validator (Form Data Validation)
• jsonwebtoken (JWT Authentication)
• bcrypt (Password Encryption)
• http-errors (HTTP errors for Express App)

Installing package

1. Install packages using npm package manager

   npm i express dotenv ejs mongoose multer cookie-parser express-validator jsonwebtoken bcrypt http-errors

2. Install packages using yarn package manager

   yarn add express dotenv ejs mongoose multer cookie-parser express-validator jsonwebtoken bcrypt http-errors

How to run at localhost

Please follow the below instructions to run this project in your machine:

New Users who never cloned this repository before

1. Open your Terminal & Clone this repository

   git clone https://github.com/SamiurRahmanMukul/Node-MongoDB-Chat-Application.git

2. Go into cloned directory

   cd Node-MongoDB-Chat-Application

3. Install dev dependencies

   npm install

4. Run the app

   npm start

5. Your app should be available in http://localhost:3000
