Initial Setup / Quick-start Guide

  • first, disable apps that modify the client-window (custom resolution, borderless window): this tool can also do that

  • then set the game-client to windowed fullscreen or windowed with a supported resolution, then click save

    • supported: 720p / 900p / 1080p / 1200p / 1440p / 1600p / 1800p / 2160p

  • install AutoHotkey v1.1 (not v2) and select 64-bit mode

  • download the latest release

  • the downloaded file is a ZIP-file and needs to be extracted first

    • open the file, and you'll see a folder Exile-UI-main inside

    • drag the folder onto your desktop, rename it to just Exile-UI

    • move the folder somewhere else (your games/apps/etc. folder): some people have reported issues with having the tool on the C-drive and/or having it cloud-synched via Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.

  • GeForce Now users: make sure you're in game and the client-window is in the correct position

  • launch the Exile UI.ahk file inside the tool folder: this img icon should appear in the system-tray

  • switch to the game-client, then hold down ESC to open the menu-widget:

    • this is where you access the settings menu (cogwheel icon), and various features

    • pressing ESC or moving the cursor away will close the widget again

  • clicking icons will open features, long-clicking them will open a sub-menu with additional options:

    • example: long-clicking the cogwheel gives you the options to restart or close the tool

    • hover over a sub-icon and release the left mouse-button to activate the sub-option

  • click the cogwheel icon to open the settings menu

  • in the general section, there are options to modify the client window with regards to resolution and/or window-mode

    • these settings will be automatically applied whenever the tool is launched, or whenever the game-client is (re)started while the tool is already running

    • it's important to set these up at the very beginning and never change them

  • open the hotkeys section of the settings menu and go through the necessary steps (depending on your in-game settings)

  • in the broadest sense, the tool only requires two hotkeys: the omni-key (default: CAPSLOCK) and the widget-key (default: TAB)

General Usage

  • go through the settings menu and enable the features you want to use

    settings

  • read the help tooltips in each section to get a rough idea of how to access and set up features

  • for more detailed information about the feature, use the wiki-links at the top of the section

  • many features are activated via the "omni-key" (default: CAPSLOCK) and screen-checking

    • it is a context-sensitive hotkey that you calibrate for different situations, rather than memorizing multiple individual hotkeys
  • some features are accessed via specific buttons on the menu-widget, for example:
