Consider using package configuration #679
Description
Packages are now allowed to include a small configuration file. I wonder if this is a way to help solve some issues of usability. For example on windows and also on the issue of different versions of other packages. But also maybe it's a place to include some other settings e.g. width for printing and potentially others.
