Getting error running yarn new <entity> --json

I'm getting the below error in my Windows Cmd Prompt when I'm running the yarn new <entity> --json command.

Error:

Cannot find module 'fs/promises'

Can anyone help?

Specs:

• Node -v : v12.15.0
• NPM -v : v12.15.0
• Windows : 10
• Node_modules: node_modules/fs contains only two files - package.json and README.md . Package.json has the following description:

This package name is not currently in use, but was formerly occupied by another package. To avoid malicious use, npm is hanging on to the package name, but loosely, and we'll probably give it to you if you want it.

I've also tried yarn new <entity> . This also logs

Never mind. I bumped up the Node version to 16.^ and it works now.
