Custom objects are missing created by field

Hello,

When a new custom object entry is creating using the api or the webui, the created_by field is missing, so you don't know who actually created this record.

I would have thought that this should be autopopulated by the application for traceability and compliance reasons

I am on version 0.2.0 has this been added on later versions?

@SonamorN are you referring to the user and user_name keys in the api/core/object-changes/ output?

Also, please try to retest against the latest version when starting discussions. Custom Objects in particular was in Public Preview at 0.2.0 and has undergone a lot of changes since then.

@mrmrcoleman I tested with the latest versions as well, still the creator is not populated

spits out :

I am on custom object 0.4.0

That error was fixed in 4.4.5: netbox-community/netbox#20641

Can you confirm that what you are looking for is the user and user_name keys in the API output?

I would have expected in the API response of a custom object e.g.

/api/plugins/custom-objects/myobject/{id}

Along with default properties that each custom object returns e.g. "created" , "last_updated" , that it would return who (which user), created this object so there is accountability and traceability of who has created what.

I will try to update and check that endpoint your provided api/core/object-changes/ if it contains the info I need
