Read-me update for Oracle cloud Infrastructure provider

Please be noticed the "Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)" provider solution outlined in README is not an official supported by Oracle. Oracle is motivated by enthusiasm from Zoom and open-source community, and is working on its own karpenter provider support and will be open-source available soon.

We would recommend rephrase it to avoid any potential confusion and misunderstanding.

Is oracle planning on sharing a provider with zoom? Is it based on the code in the zoom provider?

Oracle is working on its own karpenter provider, it is not based on the zoom provider. It will be available for open source community, and also general available for all OCI customers.

I imagine that we could probably just throw something like zoom in parenthesis or something to make it more clear that that is the vendor who actually wrote the provider code

I am not sure I followed the question.

Oracle is working on its official Karpenter provider, representing OCI’s formal support for the standard Karpenter extension (https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/karpenter), in line with other cloud providers like AWS and Azure. Please note that this initiative is independent of the 'Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) - Provided by Zoom' offering.

Until official support becomes available, @stxmic , it could refer to the provider as “Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) – Provided by Zoom” to avoid any confusion with the official Oracle brand.

Once the official OCI provider is released, the Zoom-maintained repository could be archived in favor of the official one. At that stage, the naming could be adjusted to something like “Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) – Provided by Zoom” or “Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) – Community Provider by Zoom”, depending on what feels most appropriate to the community and maintainers.

This approach helps keep things transparent and acknowledges community contributions while paving the way for official support in the future.

I am happy to hear that the official OCI karpenter open source, we have waited for official karpenter support for a loooong time😿. The original aim of zoom karpenter-oci open source is to respond to community requirements. Agree with @dannyeuu , we can use “Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) – Provided by Zoom” or “Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) – Community Provider by Zoom” in the current readme as an alternative solution, cause some customers are using this project in their production. Zoom karpenter-oci will continue to be maintained for a long time, and we will also evaluate the cost to migrate to official. Let's make karpenter community stronger.
