I downloaded it and installed it exactly like what I've did in ubuntu 25.04, but in ubuntu 25.10 it doesn't work

Perhaps it's because I removed the support for nvcodec during debugging, but it should normally work with software decoding. Are you sure you are using the modified version I made? Maybe some debugging information can help resolve this issue, try 'journalctl /usr/bin/gnome-shell -xe'.

I read readme again and here is what I did to get it to work

sudo apt install libgtk-4-media-gstreamer
[sudo: authenticate] Password: 
Note, selecting 'libgtk-4-1' instead of 'libgtk-4-media-gstreamer'
libgtk-4-1 is already the newest version (4.20.1+ds-2).

but any time after reboot, hibernate and poweroff, when the hanabi extension start, it override my dash to panel extension and I need to open a random app to get it back

It appears that Gst isn't rendering anything within the window. I suspect that Gst may not be automatically falling back to software encoding when vaapi is unavailable on your device.

And it's worth mentioning that both Gst and GtkMediaFile, in their latest versions, seem unable to properly loop videos on the sink. For Gst, once the 'end-of-stream' signal is triggered, the rendering pipeline breaks directly. As for GtkMediaFile, the loop option simply doesn't work. I'm not entirely sure whether this is a bug or a behavioral regression.

For Gst, my workaround is to seek to 0 when there are 400ms left in the video, preventing the 'end-of-stream' signal from being triggered. This way, the sink's rendering isn't interrupted, and it works on my device. However, I haven't implemented any fix for GtkMediaFile, so theoretically, if you enable 'Force use GtkMediaFile,' your wallpaper will only play once.

If you'd like, you can try the content I recently pushed. Just replace your current renderer.js with the one from the update—I've restored the logic for enabling nvcodec.

and I can't use that workspace till I disable enable dash to panel or hanabi
also if hanabi and power off button are enabled, after the full screen problem, if I turn off hanabi, power off button give me error and make duplicated buttons (Only after installing hanabi, this happened)

A very strange issue... Actually, on my PC, Hanabi occasionally overlays my top bar as well, but I resolved this by disabling the panel blur feature in Blur My Shell.
Many APIs have changed in GNOME 49, which has caused some components of various extensions to break silently.

Now the issue seems clearer. In the GtkMediaFile branch, I disabled this.setAutoWallpaper(); (which I've now restored). That was likely the cause of Hanabi overlaying your top bar. But since you're using Gst now, the problem is naturally resolved.

PS: During the adaptation process, to identify the parts incompatible with GNOME 49, I had to repeatedly remove certain logic while cross-referencing documentation for fixing them...

I think it's worth a try, because I don't really believe that clappersink would fail to work on your device. However, it's worth mentioning that on my device, the 'if (sink.widget)' condition at renderer.js:401 went into the false branch. I'm not quite sure whether this is a version issue or a missing component problem, as I haven't done much research on this part of the technology.
