Non-Zone-Selector Zones: "Fixed" Layouts

Is your feature request related to a problem? Or is it a new idea?

I would like to set the percentage of the window, when using edge-snapping. (Preferrably 50%)

With such an option, it would be extremely flexible to arrange 2 windows perfectly. Currently only 3 can "fill" a display fully, otherwise there is a gap that needs to be adjusted manually.

I found out that i can achieve this by creating a fitting layout.

However: When i use the zone selector, it changes the snapping behaviour too.

Would it be possible to either allow me to specify a "permanent" layout for edge-snapping, OR the ability to not change a layout when using the layout selector?

This would allow me to do the following:

• Create 3 Column Layout (or reuse the existing one)
• Create 2 Column Layout
• Set the 2-Column Layout as the default
• Use edge snapping to tile 50/50
• Also use the zone selector to tile 30/30/30 (or whatever layout is available)
• Not break 50/50 edge snapping-tiling

I have tinkered a bit, and adding a "setLayout(x)"-call to:

kzones/src/contents/ui/main.qml

at the end achieves the desired goal.

I am going to try to create a proper PR that exposes the functionality properly by adding a setting and a "default" tag to the json. We will see how that goes.
