Reproduction case
Open / test the tags example for DBCustomSelect with a screenreader (I used VoiceOver for macOS)
Expected Behaviour
I would expect, that the current selection is announced properly when accessing the field again with a previously made selection. Something similar too: "selected 2 items, option 1 and option 2".

- We need to reconsider the role of this element and even also double check with what WAI ARIA patterns as well as others are suggesting (maybe have a look at our initial research again).
