Opened issue #6080, based on upvotes here suggesting I'm not alone in seeing this. |

I've been using beets for years. I recently upgraded to version 2.4.0 and I've noticed that I now never get a %100 match when using the autotagger. The best I seem to get lately is 93.6%. I can even use beets to retag an album, then attempt a reimport of the same album and still only get to 93.6%. I'm seeing this on new album imports, as well as retagging imported albums on past beets versions. I'm unsure how to troubleshoot what is wrong. The output showing me the differences is unclear.
EDIT: Rolled back to v2.3.1, and my matches are back to 100%. The difference seems to be the source. I don't know what that is, as it's not indicated in the output. Is there way for verbose difference output? In the case of tracks, sometimes I get clear detail (like title, length, missing tracks,. etc.). Other times, it just says "tracks" are different, but doesn't show what's different. I don't ever see where the "source" differences are
Example below. Typically I see it finding differences with the tracks and the source. I don't know what it can't match with the tracks, nor do I know what "source" means in this context.
Verbose output:
