re your blog header, i feel like you could say something to the effect of "we write these posts for you because we care about your security" which could be really powerful
like to imply it's not just content farming; you're doing it to improve the default level of security for the readers
(which i think is true)
(and effectively doing that)

My first attempt is too long:

Appcanary makes sure you never miss a security patch.
We're making the basics of security painless. 
We write this blog to help you with the rest.

I do like "makes sure you never miss a security patch" more than what we currently have though.

Another @shazow suggestion:

Appcanary takes care of your vulnerabilities. We write these posts because we care about your security.

I like the "you don't have to" thing, maybe like:

Appcanary makes sure you never miss a security patch. We track all the things so you don't have to.
