Hey devs! Loving the modularity and aesthetic flexibility of YASB so far—especially how widgets can be customized without recompiling. I’d like to propose a feature expansion for the existing Clock widget, turning it into a more functional time-management suite.
🔧 Feature Suggestions:
1.Alarms
Set one-time or recurring alarms with custom labels
sound or visual notification support
2.Timers
Countdown timers with preset durations or manual input
Multiple concurrent timers
Optional auto-hide or minimal display mode for clean layouts
3.Stopwatch
Start/pause/reset functionality
Lap tracking and exportable logs (for productivity tracking)
Compact UI toggle for status bar-friendly display
Could be implemented as extensions to the existing Clock widget or as modular sub-widgets (e.g., clock.alarm, clock.timer, clock.stopwatch) for config flexibility.
Would benefit users who rely on YASB for productivity workflows, especially students and creators juggling tasks.
If added, time tools could unlock a whole new layer of widget interactivity auto-hiding panels, switching layouts, activating focus modes, and more. It’s exciting to imagine this paving the way for smarter, time-aware workflows .
Big thanks to the devs for keeping YASB evolving—your work makes our desktops smarter and sleeker every day.
Appreciate all the love you pour into this project!
Looking forward to what the devs cook up next 🛠️✨
