Change a theme wallpapers' dir

Is it possible to set a theme's wallpapers' target directory to a different target than default /wallpapers?

I tried with symbolic links but nope, can set wall.set pointing to file individually but that's not what I want

I want to set wallpapers' target dir so it gets the wallpaper files from ~/Pictures/wallpapers/_generic dir

I got Waypaper as extra but I'd rather use HyDE' wallpapers' selection menu preferably (Super+Shift+W)

I've also read #414 & Add global or custom wallpapers - FAQ HyDE' however I removed all wallpapers from the theme/wallpapers dir and set global custom path ~/Pictures/wallpapers/_generic in ~/.config/hyde/config.toml it does not recognize files with ext jpg or png it seems

nope never do this. This will break the theme.

So you are saying that jpg and jpeg is not present in your wallpapers directory?. This is a bug. Please open an issue

I'll try defining the path with /home/ryou instead of ~/ and see if that works, I'll edit this post if it doesn't in less than 5 minutes

Yep, this was the issue. applying directly /home/{user}/ works but not with ~/

if your images are jpg and jpeg, there is a bug as I've said earlier. Also please don't remove all wallpapers in the theme. It might break. maybe leave a single wallpaper?

Can't recognize the ~/ notation that directs to the user's home, that's the issue

Well ye, even I don't want the notification popping up every time saying "Unable to find wallpaper" in theme dir
