Sending javascript via python script

I am able to connect to a chromium instance and send a simple javascript command.
Is there a way to send a command to a running chromium window via Python?

I am unclear on the Python syntax to send a javascript command to a browser launched in debug mode via a Python script.
(I am able to connect and control in REPL mode.)
